The deadly collision happened on Saturday morning, according to the news release from the Long Beach Police Department.

A man driving a pickup truck with two other passengers was allegedly “involved in a road rage incident for several blocks” with another driver, who was trying to “disengage” from the situation.

That’s when the speeding pickup collided with two other vehicles â€" a Toyota Corolla attempting to pull away from the curb, then a parked unoccupied pickup after he lost control of his truck.

Police arrived to the scene and found the occupants of the pickup â€" the driver, a 23-year-old pregnant woman, and 10-year-old boy â€" had all sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

The driver and child suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but the woman, who was about eight months along, and her unborn child succumbed to their injuries at hospital.

Officials have not identified the woman, but a GoFundMe page linked to Long Beach Press-Telegram’s report identified the victim as ‘Krista.’

We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

Krista was mother to five-year-old son Theo, who was with his grandparents at the time of the crash, and was planning on naming her unborn child Christopher, according to the page.

It’s unknown what her relationship was to the driver and the other passenger in the pickup.

Miguel Larios, 26, the driver of the pickup truck, was arrested on two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving under the influence and child endangerment, according to police.

He’s being held on $200,000 bond.
